Internationally recognized greats as well as talented young musicians put on a varied program in a series of six to nine concerts per season.
The venue is usually the Fürstensaal of the Marburg Landgrave Castle, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful and largest Gothic halls in Germany. Depending on the program and cooperation partner, other Marburg performance venues will also be used: the Church of St. John Evangelist, also known as the “Kugelkirche”, the Lutheran Parish Church of St. Mary and the Hessian State Archives in Marburg.
The organizer of the concert series is the non-profit e. V. “Marburger Musikfreunde”.
