The Lahn Trail (Lahnwanderweg) is a real treat for enthusiastic walkers. This varied, accredited long-distance route follows the Lahn River from its source in the Rothaargebirge mountains to its confluence with the River Rhine, over hills and through valleys, towns and villages. The route is at its most scenic walking upriver.
The Lahn-Dill-Bergland path stretches for almost 90km from either Dillenburg or Herborn to Marburg. The route of this premium walking tour surprises its visitors time and again with ever-changing views – over mysterious castle ruins, striking rock formations, charming heathland or sparkling waters.
The 50km-long premium walking route of the Burgwald path connects Marburg with Frankenberg. Discover old stone quarries and cotton grass-adorned moorland between the Lahn and Eder rivers. Historic sites provide a pleasing contrast to the quiet forest glades.
