The Fairy Tale Anniversary Celebration
Fifty years ago, on April 11, 1975, the German Fairy Tale Route was inaugurated in the historic town hall of Steinau an der Straße. Since then, it invites you to follow the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm – from their birthplace Hanau through Kassel and Hameln to Bremen. Whether at festivals and museum tours, on fairy tale hiking trails, or in historic castles and cozy inns – here fairy tales, legends, and sagas come to life. And in the anniversary year, there are certainly some special surprises waiting.
